Last night Smiling Dog Entertainment partnered with our sister company Occasions and Stems to deliver amazing wedding décor for Mikaela and Austin’s wedding at The Hive at Busy Bee in Indianola.
The Smiling Dog Entertainment décor contribution consisted of our amazing Boxwood Hedge Wall, which accompanied by Occasions and Stems silk floral swag across the top and a neon sign with the couple’s last name, provided a beautiful photo backdrop for guests throughout the night.
In addition to the Boxwood Hedge Wall photo backdrop the team at Occasions and Stems delivered:
• Tablecloths for all the tables throughout the venue
• Black linen napkins
• Gold Chargers for the head table
• Silk floral centerpieces
• Cylinder vase themed centerpieces
• Wedding and Head Table Background Arch Floral Swag
• Floating, flameless, and votive candles for each table
• Welcome sign and table assignment floral décor accents
• Ceremony aisle décor – large glass jugs filled with pampas grass and white and green floral accents.
The white tablecloths with black candle sticks, black napkins, and black floral stands with primarily white floral arrangements and accents perfectly complimented the primarily black and white colors of the venue giving the reception a very classic, elegant feel.
A splash of color was added to accentuate the primarily black and white décor with strands of eucalyptus surrounding the centerpieces, running down the middle of tables, and surrounding the bottoms of the tablecloths covering the cocktail tables throughout the venue.
Susan spent hours consulting with Mikaela and Austin prior to their special day to ensure that she got the look just right and it showed. As we were leaving the venue the mother of the Groom told Susan that the décor was beautiful and that she’d done an amazing job.
Kimberly Vorhees, the Day of Coordinator from Fable and Fleur Events, was a big help throughout the planning for and during the setup and teardown of the reception. Kimberly and Susan spoke numerous times prior to the wedding day to ensure everyone was on the same page, and Kimberly did a great job managing the schedule and keeping everything running on time.
Kimberly and her assistant also helped collect the décor from the ceremony and organize it for easy pickup when we arrived for teardown. They were also very helpful with the rest of the teardown at the conclusion of the reception.
We’ve been fortunate, between Smiling Dog Entertainment and Occasions and Stems, to have been a part of quite a few weddings at The Hive at Busy Bee now – it is a beautiful venue for a wedding or other special event.
We had a great time working with Kimberly from Fable and Fleur Events and the staff at The Hive at Busy Bee to deliver Mikaela and Austin a beautiful ceremony and reception venue for their special day!
Congratulations Mikaela and Austin!
