The Monroe is new to the West Des Moines area, however, not new to the wedding and corporate events scene. Therefore, you can feel confident that their team has the experience to exceed all of your expectations.
The name “The Monroe” was intentionally crafted to incorporate the Abbott Events brand and experience. Following suit with The Harlow and The Bardot – named after legendary actresses Jean Harlow and Brigitte Bardot, they choose to model their newest venue after the enduringly iconic Marilyn Monroe.
Known for her timeless beauty, elegant simplicity, & warm disposition, we strive to embody and share these same characteristics with everyone who comes through the front doors of The Monroe.
The Monroe is strikingly decorated with contemporary furnishings, grand chandeliers, and white wainscoting. The venue features an intimate chapel with wood beam vaulted ceiling and natural light, as well as a charming courtyard with brick pavers and a wood pergola arbor for outdoor ceremonies. A large ballroom with elegant chandeliers, a billiards lounge, an in-house bar, and private suite complete the luxury experience and offers a variety of spaces to suit your event from weddings to corporate parties.
